Homeschooling tips & educational apps to teach kids while also staying sane & getting some work done this school year!
Working & learning from home is a reality for many of us this year & I couldn’t be more thankful for our Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Tablet & Alexa for keeping us company (and sane) & for making our (hubby/my) lives a lot easier & learning for our kiddo a lot more fun!

HOMESCHOOLING SCHEDULE, RESOURCES & IDEAS
The enormous amount of ‘things’ our 3-year-old has learned in just these last few months (amidst all the uncertainties & our all-over-the-place-schedules) really makes me one proud mama (come on now, we all gloat about how our kids can recite 42709 rhymes, stories, & whatnot for their age).
While I do want to be present with my son 24/7 & teach him all.the.things, let’s face it, that’s just not practical, & at the same time, I also want him to learn things on his own (with little or no help from his dada/me) which is where his Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Tablet comes in handy!
I am really glad that we are able to ‘balance’ this in our family.
We’re able to offer him access to several educational apps on Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Tablet, and he learns so much – stories, writing, math, puzzles, singing, etc! Makes me jealous that learning seems like such a fun activity for him.
P.S. I am extremely mindful of how much (good) screentime he gets in a day for his age and stick to those guidelines (no more than 1 hour a day for his age).

In the above image: a list of some of the educational apps and games on the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Tablet that our little one learns from every day.
Honestly though, when does learning go from being something so fun to do -> to this thing that is so full of pressure/stressful? I wish for him to always be as excited & look forward to learning vs. do so just for the sake of it! #foodforthought
As we all find new ways to get ready for another school year, juggle work & learn virtually, I want to share that parents of slightly older kids than mine can #AskAlexa to provide school announcements, homework updates, etc from apps like Canvas, Infinite Campus without having to open the mobile apps.

Currently, our little one’s classroom is wherever he feels like it & whatever he’s most excited to learn about!
Sometimes it’s on mama’s table & at other times it’s across from me as I take meetings wearing professional tops & cozy pajama bottoms (shhh, no one needs to know), totally depends on who he’s in the mood to annoy the most, somedays its mama & when she gets lucky it’s dada’s turn 😅
What are some of your kids’ favorite educational apps and games?
Happy homeschooling and staying Sane while at it this school year! 😉
