Focus on the things we can control.
Focus on how we spend our time & be present.

Focus on what we will teach our kids during/through these tough and uncertain times.
Use this time wisely; relax, recharge, stay positive and be productive amidst all the unknown, anxiety, chaos and craziness.
As the world around us slows down, take advantage of this time to design that ideal life/lifestyle you have always been dreaming of, now is the time to pace yourself and make that happen!
TIPS TO BE PRODUCTIVE DURING COVID-19

I know this situation is far from ideal and it is easier said than done, but this is as best as it is going to get when we can put into practice what we have always been meaning to do!
1. Utilize this time to SLOW DOWN and pause! Reflect upon your current life and get your priorities/goals right, analyze what makes you happy and what sucks the joy out of your life. Evaluate how you can elevate your life. Get all the help you need in that department here.
2. Practice gratitude, journal and meditate. Use apps such as Headspace, Calm and Expectful.
3. Stick to your daily routine, go to bed, wake up, eat, shower, get ready, etc, at your regular time. Do NOT let work from home days disrupt your routine because it will be extremely hard to recover from it once this is all behind us.
4. Make a (tentative) schedule (on Trello, Asana, etc) for the next few weeks, one where you get to work, take care of your kids, teach them, play with them, cook, clean, reconnect with your spouse (and your own self too), you know, to do all the things.
5. If you have been meaning to develop new/healthy habits then now is the time to give them a go. Read more about how you can get started here and here.
6. Set boundaries when you are working from home to still keep work and personal life separate. Also, assign a dedicated workspace and do not work from the comfort of your bed or couch.
7. If you live with your partner and/kids, then establish ground rules on how you will divide and conquer your day.
8. Clean dust off of those books and set aside time to get in the habit of reading (I know you have been meaning to for the longest time but just ‘didn’t have time for it’).
9. Those self-care practices you have been putting off, now is the time to make yourself a priority!
10. Do NOT mindlessly spend hours upon hours scrolling social media, watching TV or stressing over the news.
11. Sign up for that online course which will help you further your growth/career.
12. Learn a new skill/hobby, there’s no dearth of online resources.
13. Schedule online dates and FaceTime your friends, happy hour girls-night in, sign me up, please!
14. Clean, declutter, purge, and organize your home. Spring cleaning might just have come early enough!
15. Plan for future; finances (I know, boring), moves, etc, including dreaming about/planning those travels for when this whole thing will be behind us!
16. Don’t wait until the last minute but get your taxes in order (early this year)!
17. Clear out the clutter on your phone, delete unwanted apps, go through your screenshots and only keep what you need, etc.
18. Organize those documents and photos on your computer/phone, etc.
19. Lastly, carve out time to spend some alone time (if you are laughing at me for saying this, trust me, you will need this to adjust to the new reality and new normalcy!).
Basically, it is not too late to get started on any and all project(s) you have been putting off cuz you were ‘just too busy’!
If there ever was a time to kick-start a pending project, then now is it! But remember not to stress and take it one day at a time…
On that note, be kind, stay positive, and focus on the good!
Also, just going to leave this below. Such a great reminder…
“Lockdown
Yes there is fear.
Yes there is isolation.
Yes there is panic buying.
Yes there is sickness.
Yes there is even death.
But,
They say that in Wuhan after so many years of noise
You can hear the birds again.
They say that after just a few weeks of quiet
The sky is no longer thick with fumes
But blue and grey and clear.
They say that in the streets of Assisi
People are singing to each other
across the empty squares,
keeping their windows open
so that those who are alone
may hear the sounds of family around them.
They say that a hotel in the West of Ireland
Is offering free meals and delivery to the housebound.
Today a young woman I know
is busy spreading fliers with her number
through the neighbourhood
So that the elders may have someone to call on.
Today Churches, Synagogues, Mosques and Temples
are preparing to welcome
and shelter the homeless, the sick, the weary
All over the world people are slowing down and reflecting
All over the world people are looking at their neighbours in a new way
All over the world people are waking up to a new reality
To how big we really are.
To how little control we really have.
To what really matters.
To Love.
So we pray and we remember that
Yes there is fear.
But there does not have to be hate.
Yes there is isolation.
But there does not have to be loneliness.
Yes there is panic buying.
But there does not have to be meanness.
Yes there is sickness.
But there does not have to be disease of the soul
Yes there is even death.
But there can always be a rebirth of love.
Wake to the choices you make as to how to live now.
Today, breathe.
Listen, behind the factory noises of your panic
The birds are singing again
The sky is clearing,
Spring is coming,
And we are always encompassed by Love.
Open the windows of your soul
And though you may not be able
to touch across the empty square,
Sing.”
