Thanks to Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco for graciously hosting us and sponsoring this post.
As always, all opinions in the post are my own.
One thing to know about staying at the Four Seasons Hotel is that you are always bound to be blown away – by the decor, by the details, by the service, and by pretty much every other thing you can think of (and beyond)!!!
So if you want to be pampered and spoiled on your next vacation then book your stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco and I promise that you will have the best time of your life!
Our stay at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco was the last part of our amazing (and hectic) 10-day vacation in California. So nothing, absolutely nothing could top being welcomed by Four Seasons and its luxurious and impeccable hospitality to help us relax and unwind before we hopped on our flights back home.
We had also stayed at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley at the beginning of our California trip (and read our past experiences staying at Four Seasons Hong Kong, Four Seasons Seattle and Four Seasons Silicon Valley) or head over to my Instagram to watch ‘Four Seasons’ Story Highlights).
After having driven around the bay area twice over to make the most of our time meeting our friends and spending time with them it was such a welcome respite to just plop on the cushy beds of the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco and do nothing but enjoy several bites of (more like fight over) decadent desserts while watching our favorite movie on the big flatscreen TV (ahhh seems like a dream!).
Located bang in the middle of Market Street and a block away from Union Square, the location of this Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco cannot be beaten! It is quite literally surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes, high-end shopping, and department stores, and you are only steps away from several tourist and cultural attractions.
San Francisco International Airport is just a 20 min drive from the hotel. Buses and trolleys stop right by the hotel so you can get around town without having to worry about driving everywhere. So the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is the perfect base if you want to make the most of your time in Northern California.
Upon our arrival, well, hold onto that thought, first let’s talk about the room itself and the view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows, simply stunning, and I went, ‘Whoa’ at first sight! Our room overlooked Market Street with the perfect view of the Museum of Ice Cream right below.
With shades of blue and steel tones that compliment the brass and gold accents, everything was state-of-the-art and our room felt like a luxury studio apartment, it was spacious, it was beautiful, and it was spotless!
The room features modern furnishings including a large desk and chair, chaise longue, and flat-screen HDTV equipped with casting and DVR capabilities. The coffee nook is also tastefully designed and looked super chic. And the Nespresso machine had even me (a non-coffee drinker) crave some coffee every morning and evening.
The huge marble bathroom was luxurious heaven with showers and inviting deep-soaking tubs. No points for guessing who spent their majority of the time playing in the bathtub and making the most of their time at the hotel! 😉
The double doors of the bathroom have attached huge mirrors, and to folks like me, that is a huge plus. The fresh-scented L’Occitane toiletries are a great addition too.
Now back to the arrival part that had us floored… Remember that I said in this post that it was hubby’s birthday week/weekend, and we ended up extending the celebrations into the following weekend as well, all thanks to the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco and their thoughtful gesture (as always).
These decadent dessert platters were such icing on the cake, especially the one with the Golden Gate Bridge and how everything was displayed. Now that is what we call a true SFO style welcome!!!
Needless to say that we all fought for all these sweet treats (when it comes to dessert we have not 1 but 3 kids in our family) 😀
Something else that makes this mama always go ‘awwwwww’ is how much Four Seasons cares for their little guests. Aarush had a kid-sized bathrobe and slippers waiting for him along with kids-toiletries (he might not realize what all this means now but I am sure he will very much appreciate it as he grows up). He’s also been called the Four Seasons baby since his first stay at FS Hong Kong.
And like I said, everyone is made to feel welcome and special, and everyone makes you feel like royalty and they pay utmost attention to every.single.detail!
After a good night’s sleep, we woke up to bright light filling our room and spectacular city views to gaze at. Sitting by the window sipping on some hot beverage and taking in the beautiful vistas was such a great start to the day!
If you want to get a quick workout before you begin the day then you can enjoy complimentary access to Equinox Sports Club which is located in the same building as the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. Besides the basic gym equipment, Equinox also offers more than 100 fitness classes, including yoga, kickboxing, and spinning. There’s also a lap pool, boxing studio, basketball court, and 25-yard indoor pool and a full-service spa.
We then got ready and headed out the door, and once we returned to our room after our adventures of the day we found everything prim and proper in the room again, not just any housekeeping type of service, but one that is several notches above and beyond.
They had neatly laid/arranged all my makeup and jewelry that I had left all over the desk and bathroom before we left the hotel that morning. They had even wrapped the charging cord with bands. They really do think about every single detail, and their level of service is a whole new level!
For dinner, we went downstairs to the MKT Restaurant located inside the hotel to celebrate hubby’s birthday one last time (until next year). The restaurant features an urban-chic atmosphere and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves elegant California-inspired dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.
We had limited choices on the menu as we are vegetarians but whatever they made us was delicious and we absolutely loved their handcrafted cocktails!
I even had them make me Jalapeno Mac & Cheese, and you’d be surprised at how many places get this simple dish wrong, but not at the MKT restaurant, it hit the spot! I regretted not getting a to-go for our flight the next day 🙁
After dinner, we called it a night and our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco felt too short!
Yep, so Four Seasons Hotel did it yet again, had us floored from the moment we checked in until we checked out.
With its top-notch 5-star service and luxury at it’s finest, I cannot recommend staying at this Four Seasons hotel in San Francisco enough to anyone who wants to live their best lives while on vacation (or maybe even a staycation) in the bay area, did I already say that its location can’t be beat, so yes, there’s that!
So what are you waiting for, make your reservations at the Four Seasons now!
Until next time, Four Seasons, we hope to see you soon!!!
