Thanks to Four Seasons Palo Alto Hotel for graciously hosting us and sponsoring this post.
As always, all opinions in the post are my own.
If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind experience during your vacation or any special occasion then look no further because Four Seasons Hotel has you covered, from their locations to their interiors to their service, everything is top of the class and I promise that you are bound to have a blast…
Earlier this month we spent 10 days in California, planned this trip such that we could celebrate hubby’s birthday with some of our closest friends and by spoiling him silly (how darn lucky is he!?) at none other than our favorite Four Seasons chain of hotels (read our past experiences staying at Four Seasons Hong Kong and Four Seasons Seattle or head over to my Instagram to watch ‘Four Seasons’ Story Highlights).
On my darling hubby’s actual birthday, after an entire day of good food and great company, I whisked him off to Four Seasons for a surprise couple’s massage treatment (sans baby of course, thanks to our friends for babysitting him so we could have an undisturbed romantic time, even if it was just for a few hours. (Parents, take note, it’s important for your relationship to sneak in those precious moments every now and then)!
And thus began our stay at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley Hotel.
Vinay and I have always loved getting massages together, and do so every chance we get, but let me tell you, the massage at Four Seasons was quite unlike any other we had ever experienced before. Given how much Vinay loves his coffee I chose the Espresso Limon Slimming Wrap massage treatment and even for a non-coffee drinker like myself I was seduced (no pun intended ;)) by its elaborate and detailed massage techniques and benefits. Of course, it helped that our masseurs had magical hands!
This detoxifying and firming treatment is guaranteed to leave your body looking sleek and smooth. It begins with a body brushing to stimulate lymphatic drainage and detoxification followed by a house-made crushed espresso bean exfoliation. A European inspired Espresso Limón Slimming Oil is then applied to purify and tone the body.’
Inside the spa, they also have a steam room with eucalyptus mist (which all guests of the hotel can enjoy) and I absolutely loved it! After the massage, we relaxed in the spa lounge with some drinks (read champagne) and snacks in hand. The lounge area has chaise lounges and fruit + crystal infused water (yep, crystals!), tea and snacks.
Overall, Vinay and I had the ultimate relaxing and rejuvenating time at the spa and that was just the beginning of our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto!
The Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto is only 20 mins from both San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport. It is located only 3 miles from Stanford University and Stanford Shopping Center (my baby boy and I went on a date to explore the area while the hubby had to work), and it is close to many tech companies including Googleplex Google Headquarters, Facebook, Amazon, etc, and within close proximity of many landmarks, markets, and restaurants. Thus making it quite convenient and a perfect base for business, pleasure, and play.
We stayed at one of their big beautiful suites and as always Four Seasons Hotel knows how to make parents (especially moms) go all awwwww with their attention to detail when it comes to accommodating kids. From a nice crib with soft blankets to a diaper pail to separate toiletries for the kids, they think of everything and ensure that it is all set-up by the time you even check-in to the hotel. Cuz no matter what else they do these are the things that first catches any moms attention, the attention to details aspect!
Our suite at the Four Seasons hotel in Palo Alto came with a huge living room, and an even bigger full marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub, a rain shower and all the bells and whistles including a TV, and a spacious bedroom with plenty of storage closets.
The best part was seeing my baby boy enjoy his time in the shower and never wanting to leave. Thanks to the handheld showerhead (along with the rain shower) which made me realize how much the little things in life we take for granted (or go unnoticed) matter!
He also thoroughly enjoyed his time in the pool, this kid I tell you, never wastes a minute or an opportunity! Though the rooftop pool isn’t too big, it is the decent size enough for us all to spend some time in the water and soak in all the California sun. A huge plus, it is heated and open longer than usual hours (compared to most other hotels we have stayed at). The cabanas in the pool are such a nice addition and make you want to just lounge by the pool and never leave.
Fruit-infused water, sunscreen, and aloe vera gel were nice and noteworthy inclusions near the pool area.
I also loved the fact that their fitness center was open 24 hrs, bonus points for that! And even more points for including a live-video spin class. Anyone could log in with the Four Seasons subscription and join a class, again, it’s the little things! I joined a half hour class, hadn’t been to a spin class in so long and boy oh boy, it kicked my behind 😉
The lobby area of the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto has a cafe, [Esc] offering not just coffee and some minimal baked goods for folks on the go but they have quite an elaborate menu including overnight oats, acai bowl, and healthy drinks. And you can only imagine my excitement upon seeing that, I mean, it’s not often that you get to see such a variety on the menu at the hotel cafe. And believe it or not, my baby boy ate more from my acai bowl than I did, which speaks for how tasty it was!
The Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto has an on-site restaurant and bar, Quattro, with both indoor or chic outdoor terrace seating. And Riviera by Quattro is their al fresco pop-up dining experience which brings Italy to California with its Italian-inspired ambiance (Instagram photo-op). The restaurants are inspired by Italian recipes and crafted with hyperlocal ingredients. We went in for both lunch and dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed the delightful ambiance, and the delicious food, our absolute favorite being the zucchini fries.
Without a doubt, Four Seasons Hotel at Palo Alto is a luxurious Bay Area getaway with its close proximity to pretty much everything from work to play! And despite the fact that the hotel is right by the highway, it is extremely quiet. The convenience of its location coupled with spacious rooms, top-notch amenities, and hospitality, makes this hotel THE PLACE to stay at for a few nights when visiting California.
