Before I get into the crux of this post, let me just say this and get it over with…
How the heck is it the last day of January?
I mean, I still write 2018 when I have to sign something, please tell me I am not alone…
I sure hope that your January has been a great start to the year, but if it hasn’t then not to worry, it is not the end of the world, you treat everyday like its day 1 and start afresh, and we still have another 11 months ahead of us… And if you need some motivation, some productivity hacks, some tips, and tricks, then I shared a whole bunch of them (mostly my secrets) the last few weeks, so be sure to give them a read here, here, here, here, and here (and I have a feeling that there’s more to come in that space on the blog, so stay tuned).
And on that note, now let’s talk all things February, by that I really mean, let’s talk all things LOVE 🙂 You should already know that I am a hopeless romantic and February is one of my fave months. I love LOVE and I love to LOVE (and not just the ‘idea of love’ or ‘the idea of romance’ as some put it) and I LOVE any reason to go all out and celebrate!
In the last 9 years, Vinay and I have celebrated Valentine’s Day in a dozen different ways – from talking on the phone for over 7 hrs (yep, still not sure how we could talk for so long, that too for a first conversation ;)) to gambling in Vegas to road tripping in Hawaii to snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to restaurant/club hopping in New York City to dining and dancing on a yacht in Seattle to staycationing in Bellevue to staying at home binge-watching Netflix (the last one is perks of being new parents) to a lot lot more, we have done it all (well, mostly). This year we aren’t yet quite sure of our plans, which is largely dictated by the little-big-boss in the house, so let’s see how that goes!
And how could I forget celebrating Galentine’s Day with my girlfriends here in Seattle the last 2 years? It has almost become our annual tradition, read more here and here. I do wish I was in NYC to celebrate it with my girlfriends there, sigh, how I wish I had started this tradition when I still lived there.
Anyhow, no matter how you celebrate the day, or with whom, or if you are spending the day with yourself (hey girlfriend, it’s absolutely OK to be single on this day, there’s no need to sulk about it, wish I was this wise a dozen years ago) DRESS UP AND SHOW UP (like with everything else in life)!
So today I am sharing some Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day outfit ideas with you all…
Now go on and paint the town red!
“Where there is Love, There is Life.”
xoxo,
Kusum
