If We Were On A Coffee Date

Owing to Seattle’s coffee culture –

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would pick a café with a view and find us a seat right by the window – there is no dearth of quaint coffee shops overlooking the ocean or the Space Needle in the land of coffee, Seattle!

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would complain (as a drama queen should ;)) that this coffee date has been long overdue, but would also be glad that we are finally meeting as there’s just too much to catch up on!   

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would order a tall mug full of guilt-free-goodness, a.k.a., my favorite dark hot chocolate, (NO whipped cream, thank you!) perfect for this cold-cloudy-rainy-winter day! 

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would ask the barista (and you) if he/she is a hug,e NFL fan (just like my hubby) and if he/she (and you) was disappointed or saddened by the Seahawks defeat this past weekend!

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would tell you that we had a double celebration of a South Indian festival (Sankranthi) this past weekend at two of our friends’ places and were in a food coma for the next two days, after gorging on oh-so-yummy treats!

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would ask you how your trip to New York City was and if my recommendation of things to see/do/eat were helpful, and then vicariously stroll the streets of NYC through your photos from the trip. 

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would, in my usual high spirits, share with you snippets of my recent trip to Vancouver and tell you that I cannot wait to go back to #VanCity and stuff my face with more yummy food!

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would ask you where you are most excited to travel to this year and what you are looking forward to the most in 2016, and then I would share my side of the story. 

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would inevitably segway into telling you just how much I am enjoying my new blogging venture (because, let me tell ya, it’s always on my mind). 

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would ask you if there are any exciting TV shows you are following and tell you that I have been missing Harvey Specter (of ‘Suits’ fame) way too much and just cannot wait for him to be back on screen. 

If we were on a Coffee Date…

I would exchange our plans for the upcoming weekend, schedule our next dinner date, and as you leave, I would sit back and stare at the ocean, lost in thoughts, mulling over our conversation, smiling at something funny you said, and then, bury myself in the endless to-do’s in my planner for the day.
